A spider’s sense organs are found in the fine hairs growing at the tips of their legs. This hair catches vibrations in the air and detects the beating wings of the insects it eats. In other words, the spider finds prey with its superb sense of hearing. Spiders detect exactly where the prey was caught on the web with special sensors called “lyriform organs” attached to the joints of each leg. [5’21″/Subtitles: Japanese, English]
